The CIO Conference & Awards 2009 will include a fascinating new format – a ‘Great Debate’ - to determine whether CEOs, analysts and vendors believe that IT management has succeeded in its push to integrate itself with the enterprise decision making process.
What do CEOs think about the efforts of CIOs to become fully-fledged members of the enterprise decision-making team?
How effectively have CIOs communicated the value of specific approaches such as virtualisation, business intelligence, service oriented architecture, Web 2.0 and unified communications?
Have enterprises in Asia been successful in their push for Business – IT alignment?
What IT tools and systems have delivered the best value, return on investment, efficiency and performance results for Asia enterprises?
How do analysts regard the performance of Asia’s CIOs and CEOs in working together as a closely-knit partnership?
What do CIOs think about the attitude and approach that CEOs take to IT in the enterprise?
The Great Debate
Two teams will debate the proposition that “CIOs have very effectively explained, to their enterprise executives, the business value and competitive advantage offered by information technology”. Each team consists of a CEO/CFO, a CIO, an analyst and a vendor representative.
The delegates at the conference will cast votes to determine the winning team.
CIO Awards Ceremony
This CIO Asia Conference in Singapore will be held in conjunction with the CIO Award Ceremony, where the 5 most outstanding organisations from the CIO 100 index, will be announced and presented with the awards.
