SINGAPORE, 3 NOVEMBER 2009 - Hong Kong residents and visitors can now enjoy high-speed access to voice and data technology from New World Mobility. The renowned mobile service provider has announced detailed plans to offer 3G services in the city.

Its 3G services are offered for sale in its stores at 30 locations throughout Hong Kong.

Affordable access to services

Launched in 1997, New World Mobility offers a variety of quality, value-for-money GSM mobile services including voice services, customised value-added services and mobile prepaid services for the mass market.

The service provider has launched an attractive 3G Tariff Plan for Hong Kong. The plan starts from HK$45 (US$5.80) and includes 1,500 mins voice calls (all basic), 30 mins video call, 200KB mobile Internet service, 100 free intra-SMS, call management service and free browsing to myWorld’s news, weather and Mark Six channels.

New World Mobility’s myWorld channels allow users to keep track of the latest news, weather, Mark Six and traffic information, noted company’s director Wesley Cheng.

This information can be tracked anytime, anywhere and is very attractively priced for New World Mobility’s 3G and 2.75G mobile Internet customers who demand affordable quality in communication services.

“Stay tuned for more exciting offers from us. We are excited about this new service and the ability for our customers to experience 3G combined with the service and commitment for which New World Mobility is renowned,” said Cheng. “We look forward to growing the business even in these tough times because we understand what people want and we give it to them.”

3G service is considered the third generation of cellular telecommunications technology. Japan and South Korea were the first countries to implement this service option, which is now popular among customers throughout the world.
