KUALA LUMPUR, 8 APRIL 2009 – The business solution NetIQ is now available in Malaysia, according to its newly-appointed distributor Applied Business Systems (ABS).
ABS chief operating officer, Danny Chiam, said: “Distribution is ABS’ core business and the addition of NetIQ immediately puts us in the fore front as a distributor of leading IT security products.
“Our existing IT security stack encompasses network, endpoint and web security,” said Chiam. “Now, with the addition of NetIQ solutions, we can offer stronger value propositions to our customers and partners. The NetIQ solutions cater to the medium to enterprise markets such as oil and gas, financial security, government, education and telecommunications.”
NetIQ, an Attachmate business, is a provider of systems and security management solutions that help enterprises maximise IT service delivery and efficiency, and has more than 12,000 customers worldwide.
Cross-selling opportunities
Chiam said NetIQ provided heterogeneous systems management and monitoring solutions that allowed organisations to improve service management, align IT operations with business priorities and optimise the delivery of IT-based business services. “NetIQ solutions offer robust reporting to help customers manage systems, update configuration management databases (CMDB), and address security issues.”
“NetIQ’s systems management solutions will also allow ABS to cross-sell to its existing installed base for Oracle and Sun,” added Chiam. “With more than 10 years of experience in the security solutions market, ABS is confident in supporting customers and partners in the Malaysian market with more than 20 sales personnel and more than 25 experienced technical resources.”
