Hentschel responsible for operations in emerging markets By Computerworld Singapore Staff Writers

SINGAPORE, 02 FEBRUARY 2009 - Network security provider Cisco has promotedCisco---Christian-Hentschel---Head-of-Emerging-Countries-in-Asia-1 Christian Hentschel to the role of managing director of emerging countries in Asia.

Hentschel was previously the company's director for commercial, marketing and channel operations in Asia.

In his new role, Hentschel is responsible for the company's business operations in Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.

Hentschel joined Cisco in December 1997 in a sales role in Germany.

Now based in Singapore, Hentschel reports to Chris Khang, president for Cisco in Asia.
