SINGAPORE, 10 FEBRUARY 2009 - Global technology services provider EDS, an HP company, has promoted Kevin Jones to senior vice president of its Asia Pacific and Japan region. He reports directly to EDS senior vice president and general manager Joe Eazor.

Jones most recently served as vice president and managing director of EDS’ UK department for work and pensions account, where he led sales, delivery and relationship development for one of EDS’ largest clients.

High-quality services

He will now be responsible for driving growth across the Asia Pacific and ensuring EDS continues to leverage its scale, capabilities and deep industry expertise to deliver high-quality, low-cost services to the region’s clients. Jones will be based in Singapore. His EDS career spans nearly two decades with increasing leadership responsibilities.

He replaces Michael Coomer who has decided to leave EDS to pursue other interests. Coomer will remain with the company until the end of this month to help ensure a smooth transition.

“Kevin is a natural choice for leading this critical region,” said Eazor. “He has extensive experience in all aspects of EDS’ operations and delivery, along with a proven track record of producing results for clients.”
