SINGAPORE, 1 DECEMBER 2009 - Extreme Networks, the converged ethernet networks provider, has appointed Nicky Choo as regional director for Southeast Asia.

Choo is concurrently director, channels/alliances and services, Asia Pacific/Japan, a position he has held since July 2008.

“With his new appointment, Choo will have responsibility for the full gamut of sales and marketing activities across the Asia Pacific and Japan,” said an Extreme Networks spokesperson. “These include development and implementation of channels programme, partner and alliance framework, regional go-to-market strategies and customer support services.”

Prior to Extreme Networks, Choo served in regional and senior sales and marketing positions with multinational technology companies including MicroStrategy, McData Corp, BEA Systems, Ardent Software, Informix, among others.
