Kevin Eggleston

SINGAPORE, 25 MAY 2009 – Storage solutions provider Hitachi Data Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Japan electronics giant Hitachi, has named Kevin Eggleston senior vice president and general manager, Asia Pacific. Eggleston takes over from Mark Kay.

Based in Hong Kong, Eggleston’s new role concerns growing the company’s revenue and market share in the Asia-Pacific region, excluding Japan. Countries he is in charge of include Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and emerging markets such as the Philippines, Vietnam and Sri Lanka.

Eggleston’s previous position was that of regional vice president of the western region in the United States. He currently reports to Randy DeMont, executive vice president and general manager, global sales, services and support, Hitachi Data Systems.
