SINGAPORE, 12 JANUARY 2009--Intel Corporation has appointed Ian Yang as the President of Intel China.

According to the software firm, this organisational announcement combined with the January 2007 announcement that PRC would become independent sales and marketing region, underscores the importance of the China market and Intel’s long-term commitment in China.

“Ian is a 22-year Intel veteran and his appointment to Intel China President is in recognition of his consistent and outstanding performance,” said Sean Maloney, Intel executive vice president and chief sales and marketing officer.

Prior to this appointment, Ian Yang served as vice president of Intel’s sales and marketing group and general manager of Intel China.
