Centre provides support to SAP users in Southeast Asia By Zafar Anjum

SINGAPORE, 2 APRIL 2009 – ObTech Asia Pacific has recently been appointed as a certified support centre for SAP in the region with the setting up of its centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

ObTech is a global information technology (IT) company, wholly owned by NEC Corporation Japan.

According to the IT company, ObTech’s SAP Support Centre will be one of few in the world to use the ‘SAP Solution Manager – Service Desk’ application management platform with advanced capabilities to manage entire SAP solution landscapes and provide consistent and high quality IT support to SAP users.

“This marks another milestone in our strategic partnership with SAP in this region,” said Michael Lim, chief operating officer, ObTech Asia Pacific. “Our support centre aims to reduce the time and effort spent by SAP customers on error incidents and resolutions. With this high-level service helpdesk support, users can achieve better ROI on their IT investments.”

The company said the support centre’s regional as well as global support will benefit companies with global operations or which are expanding globally. It also expects to expand the scope of the centre by providing support in more languages in the future to meet the needs of its regional and global outreach.
