Oracle says new leader is a great proponent of the impact of the business software infrastructure By Computerworld Singapore Staff

SINGAPORE, 4 SEPTEMBER 2009 - Oracle has hired Wilson Ho, formerly of Yahoo Hong Kong, as its managing director for the vendor’s business in Hong Kong.

Ho is responsible for leading the company and overseeing its strategy and business operations, including all its technology and Oracle fusion middleware businesses.

According to Oracle, Ho has more than 20 years of management experience in IT and Internet firms from the Hong Kong and the Greater China region. He was previously director of search marketing at Yahoo Hong Kong. Before that, he was country manager of BEA Systems Hong Kong, achieving significant wins in middleware solutions in key projects across different sectors including financial services, telecommunications and government. Between 1998 and 2005, Ho held several key sales management positions at Sun Microsystems.
