Cyberoam-UTM appoints SecureOne as Malaysian distributor By AvantiKumar

KUALA LUMPUR, 22 MAY 2009 – SecureOne has been appointed as distributor in Malaysia by identify-based unified threat management (UTM) firm Cyberoam.

Cyberoam vice president, new business development, Harish Chib, said SecureOne is a technology distributor with exclusive network security solutions.  “Malaysian businesses are already conscious that they need to provide security for their valuable information, though they typically only deploy basic security systems such as firewalls and anti-virus software.”

“SecureOne, with its in-house technical expertise and wide reseller network, is very well-positioned to educate local businesses about the costs of network breaches, as well as provide both fulfilment and support of our products to its customers," said Chib.

Cyberoam Identity-based UTM appliances offer protection against existing and emerging Internet threats that include viruses, worms, Trojans, spyware, phishing, and pharming.

Cost-effective solution

“We wanted to add a strong, stable and competitive security product to our existing impressive product portfolio,” said SecureOne director, Andy Lam. “This appointment further reinforces our commitment to our resellers by giving them reliable and market-leading solutions to sell, and enriching their business with new opportunities. We did our research, and Cyberoam was what we were looking for."

“In the scenario of economic slowdown, Cyberoam products will be a great relief for our customers,” said Lam. “Not only is it cost effective as compared to multiple security solutions, but it will also secure their network from increasing threats in this scenario. Cyberoam appliances come with a complete network security solution that fits every size and budget of organisations in Malaysia.”
