Supply chain solutions provider Intermec has launched a new generation of industrial printers in Malaysia to meet a diverse range of environments, it said.
Intermec vice president and general manager, Asia Pacific region, Mike Muller, said the company's new PM43 and PM43c, PR2 and PR3, PC43d, PC43t and PC23d each feature the fastest throughput, or fastest time to first receipt in their class.
"This is truly the year of the printer for Intermec," said Muller. "Through our new printer range, Intermec is committing to providing fast, flexible solutions that offer Asian businesses the tools they need to transform operations and reduce infrastructure costs, driving bottom line results."
"[These printers are] suited for harsh industrial environments including transportation, manufacturing and distribution centres, the metal-constructed PM43 and more compact PM43c printers are built to perform by increasing uptime and reducing maintenance costs," he said.
"The printers offer the ultimate in reliable and intuitive communication options with a unique full colour touch-screen, a choice of 10 languages or easy to recognise universal icons, and a multi-lingual intuitive Web-based user interface," said Muller. "The printers also reduce IT support needs with integrated device management, allowing the printers to be monitored from anywhere in the world via handheld computers, laptops, smartphones or tablet computers."
He added that the printers print small barcodes, text and images with pinpoint accuracy to save industrial customers time and money. "The PM43 and PM43c also offer the fastest deployment time in the market with innovative no-touch configuration via an optional embedded RFID chip."
"As the costs related to manufacturing operations continue to climb, it is imperative for companies to have reliable, efficient and intuitive technology solutions. Intermec's PM43 and PM43c printers are designed to deliver workers the quality and speed needed for industrial printing jobs, while instinctively working with other peripheral industrial technologies," said VDC Research Group barcode analyst, Richa Gupta. "With enhanced connectivity options and seamless integration, Intermec is showcasing its dedication to minimise operational downtimes and enhance process efficiencies."
