Mahindra Satyam makes a new move in the region
In a move to facilitate expansion plans in the region, Indian IT services provider Mahindra Satyam has appointed Edward 'Ted' Pretty as the non-executive chairman for its Australian and New Zealand operations, the company announced on 3 July.
Ted is an industry veteran and has held significant advisory and CXO (executive and non-executive board and chairman) roles in Australia with organisations such as Optus, Telstra, Fujitsu, Visy and RP Data. He is currently non-executive director of National Carrier Neutral data centre provider NextDC Limited and chairman of CMB Capital and SiteTour.
Ted will also be supporting the company's Asian region for telecom business expansion, the company said in a statement. Ted will be driving the strategy for Mahindra Satyam and Tech Mahindra across network engineering and operations, business intelligence and analytics, cloud, mobility and security.
"Ted joins us at a time when the industry is poised to transform," said Rohit Gandhi, senior vice president, Mahindra Satyam (Asia Pac, India, Middle East and Africa). "We look forward to benefit from his experience, leadership and feel confident that Tech Mahindra and Mahindra Satyam will continue to excel in driving relationships, fostering innovation and deliver service excellence to our customers."
