What is Vanadium nitride?
Vanadium nitride, also known as vanadium nitrogen alloy, is a new alloy additive that can replace iron vanadium in the production of micro-alloyed steel. The addition of vanadium nitride to steel can improve the strength, toughness, ductility, thermal fatigue resistance, and other comprehensive mechanical properties of steel, and make steel have good weldability. Vanadium nitrogen alloy applied to high strength low alloy steel can simultaneously carry out effective vanadium and nitrogen microalloying, promote the precipitation of carbon, vanadium, and nitrogen compounds in steel, and more effectively play the role of precipitation strengthening and grain refining.

In 2003, as a result of 300T /a industrial test push plate kiln key technology breakthrough, Panzhihua steel decided to formally realize industrialization production, industrialization project supported by the state, was listed as the national high-tech industrialization project; In August 2003, the second and third 300T /industrialization equipment of Panzhihua Iron and Steel Group was successively completed and put into operation, which expanded the production capacity to 1000T /a. In June 2004 and July 2004, Panzhihua new three 300t/a industrial equipment were put into production, so that Panzhihua vanadium nitrogen alloy total production capacity reached 2000t/a scale.
