It is a yellowish powder. This is achieved by adding acid to the soda ash after it has been fusioned with ore.
Tungsten trioxide is
It is a light yellow orthorhombic crystal powder. As the powder is heated, it changes color from lighter to darker. It has a specific gravity of 7.16 grams per cm3, a melting point of 1473degC and a boiling point at 1750degC. The temperature at which it melts is 850degC. It becomes subliminal and green. It is stable in air and insoluble with water and other inorganic acids, except hydrofluoric, and can slowly dissolve in ammonia solution and concentrated sodium hydroxide solution.
Tungsten(VI) oxide
The chemical compound known as tungsten trioxide (or tungstic anhydride), WO3, contains both oxygen and the tungsten transition metal. It’s used to recover tungsten from its mineral sources. Alkalis is used to make WO from tungsten ore. Hydrogen gas or carbon can further reduce tungsten oxide to pure metal.
Tungsten(VII) oxide can be found in nature as a hydrate, which includes minerals like tungstite, meymacite and hydrotungstite. (of the exact same composition as meymacite but sometimes written as H2WO4) These secondary tungsten mineral minerals can only be found as rare or very scarce.
The crystal structure of tungsten trioxide is temperature-dependent. The crystal structure of tungsten trioxide is temperature-dependent. At higher temperatures than 740°C it becomes tetragonal. Monoclinic with the space group of P21/n is the most common structure in WO3.

Tungsten trioxide is prepared in many different ways. The CaWO4 or scheelite can react with HCl in order to make tungstic acid. It then decomposes at high temperatures to WO3 (or water).

An alternative method of synthesizing WO3 in common is to calcinate ammonium paratungstate under oxidizing conditions.
