Zirconium Diboride
Chrome
?
Zirconium Diboride (ZrB2), a type of covalent high refractory clay material has a hexagonal structure. It has an ultra-high temperature (UHTC), melting point of 3246.6°C. Because of its low density (6.09 g/cm3), and excellent high-temperature resistance it is a good candidate for high-temperature aerospace uses such as rocket propulsion systems or hypersonic flight. The unusual ceramic is extremely thermally and electrically conductive and shares many of the same characteristics as hafnium-diboride and titanium diboride.
Here are some of the key features
Zirconium Diboride Powder
Zirconium boride is a natural hard gray crystal. The three main components of zirconium boreide are zirconium biboride (zirconium diboride), zirconium tribromide and zirconium boride. Only zirconium boride can be stable at high temperatures. The industrial use of zirconium boride is predominant. Zirconium Diboride can be found as a hexagonal, grey, or powdered crystal. It has a melting point between 3040 and 3060. Zirconium Diboride can withstand high temperatures. It has high resistance at high and normal temperatures. High resistance to high temperatures, good shock resistance and low resistance to oxidation. With metallic luster. The metal nature of the material is metallic. This metal has a slightly higher resistance than zirconium. It can be stable at any temperature after heating. It can still be sintered even though its melting point is very high.

Application of
Zirconium Diboride Powder
1.
Zirconium diboride can be used as a strategic material. It has high hardness, excellent thermal conductivity and good resistance to oxidation. It’s used mostly in high-temperature electrodes, thermal protection and heat trap pipes for reentry aircraft.
2. Zirconium diboride may also be used for aerospace applications, as well as being a hardy and wear-resistant material. This material is particularly well-suited for use on the bearing balls.
3. Due to its metal-like conductivity (3245degC) and melting point, Zirconium Diboride is an excellent candidate material for thin-film electronic components.
4. Zirconium boride is used within the aerospace, military, nuclear, special ceramics and nuclear refractories industries. Zirconium boride is also useful as a topcoat on flat solid and rolling objects. Composites made of carbon fiber reinforced zirconium dimoride are high-density, while composites made from silicon carbide fiber-reinforced diboride are brittle and susceptible to catastrophic damage.
