Xiaomi released Xiaomi 12, which is a replacement for Xiaomi 12 Pro. Although these two phones look alike, they are more different than siXiaomilar. Nevertheless, Xiaomi 12 should still be regarded as a flagship smartphone, especially because of its Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, which is the SoC that Xiaomi 12X lacks.
The core of Xiaomi 12 is a 4500 mAh battery that supports 67w wired, 50w wireless, and 10w reverse wireless charging. The large battery supports a 6.28-inch display, a 120hz refresh rate, and a native resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. The 419 PPI panel also has a touch sampling rate of 480 Hz and a peak brightness of 1100 nits.
In addition, Xiaomi 12 has four cameras and a 500,000-pixel main sensor, Xiaomirroring Xiaomi 12 Pro. However, the former relies on the IMX766 instead of the newer IMX707 found in the Xiaomi 12 Pro. IMX766 is already available through devices such as the OnePlus 9 Pro and Oppo Find X3 Pro.
Xiaomi is also equipped with a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 5-megapixel macro lens. Only the IMX766 is optically stable, though. Like Xiaomi 12 Pro, Xiaomi 12 also has a 32mp front camera. Xiaomi 12 measures 152.7 x 69.9 x 8.2 mm and weighs approximately 180 grams. In other words, this device is slightly larger than the iPhone 13 and Pixel 5.
The price of Xiaomi 12 in China is 3699 yuan (approximately US$581), and the price of 12Ggb of RAM and 256Gb storage space is 4399 yuan (approximately US$691). Xiaomi has not announced the global price of this phone, and whether it will launch these four-color phones in China.
