A synthesis of the Fe3O4 particle as a ferrofluid filler with surfactant oleic acid dispersed in olive oil has successfully been performed. The magnetic nanoparticle has a particle size of 8.8 nm sized particles. Ferrimagnetic Fe3O4 on heating to 850 K becomes paramagnetic. This is due to the greater alignment of domains (spins) in one direction on heating.
