HMD Global launched the first Android 12 upgrade, starting with the mid-range Nokia X20.

If you have forgotten the existence of the Nokia X20, it is also excusable-it is nothing special, with only a 6.67-inch 60Hz display, a Snapdragon 480 processor and four rear cameras. Its most eye-catching features may be its healthy support policy (three-year operating system updates) and an unusually generous three-year warranty.

In general, the launch of Android 12 has been stumbling. In theory, this is a good policy. But there is no real guarantee that HMD (or any Android device manufacturer) will abide by its promise to continue to update the operating system. To this end, the company recently withdrew its promise to introduce Android 11 to Nokia 9 PureView.
In general, the launch of Android 12 has not been smooth. OnePlus has launched a leaky Android 12-based oxygen system update for OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro. Users of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 have also reported issues with the stable Android 12 update. Google's own Pixel 6 and 6 Pro also seem to be affected. Even the so-called stable version of Android 12 on Nokia phones may be equally unstable. But if X20 wants to achieve its promised 3-year lifespan, it must be on the right start.
