How do MAX phase materials get synthesized and how can they be used?
In 1996, Professor Barsoum’s research group at Drexel University found that Ti3SiC2 could be synthesized using hot pressing. The unique structure of the nano-layered crystals gives this material its properties, including self-lubricating, toughness and conductivity. They can also be used to make high-temperature structures, electrode brushes, chemical anti-corrosion, heating materials, or other high-temperature applications. Research on this material in Japan, Europe, China, and China has been extensive since 1996.
Nb2Alc powder introduction
One new type conductive ceramic material is the largest phase ceramic. It can be used to make Nb2Alc dust. More than 60 ternary carbides, or nitRIDE chemicals are contained in this ceramic. A is for group elements. Mostly elements from the fourth and third groups. X stands for carbon or nitrogen. Niobium Aluminum Carbide is a brand new ceramic material. It combines many of the advantages of metal with ceramics. Nb2Alc Powder has exceptional mechanical properties, even when heated to high temperatures.
How does Nb2AlC powder get made?
1. You will need to weigh the aluminum powder, niobium powder, carbon powders, and finally, ball mill the mixture powder.
2. Mix the powder in a graphite bowl. Then, put the reactor into the fire. It has excellent purity and a fast reaction time. Nb2Alc ceramic can be used for aviation, nuclear, electronic, and aerospace applications.
Nb2AlC powder should be stored in cool, dry conditions
This affects dispersion performance, and also uses Nb2AlC powder. It is important to keep the niobium-alcohol carbide Nb2AlC powder in a closed vacuum container and store it in a cool, dry place. It is not recommended to use Niobium Aluminum Caride. Avoid exposing to air. In addition, avoid using Nb2AlC powder under stress.
