Production status of fumed silica at home and abroad

Vapor phase silica has a production history of more than 60 years abroad. After years of development and research, countries like the United States, Germany, and Japan have produced and sold fumed silica in large quantities and established a complete application system. The production capacity of Shenyang Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. is 1000 tons/year, and that of Shanghai Chlor-Alkali Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. is about 100 tons/year. The raw materials used are silicon tetrachloride. Guangzhou Jibishi Technology Industry Co., Ltd. is the first company in China to produce white carbon black using methyl trichlorosilane, a by-product of organic silicon. In 2007, the production capacity was 1000 tons/year, and within five years, the production capacity will reach 5000 tons/year, including 500 tons/year for hydrophobic products.
