Propelo(formerly known as LevelOps) wants to bring order to this mess and is aiming to build an "ai-driven engineering platform of excellence" that combines a set of machine-learn-driven analytics services with code-free robotic processes automation (RPA) tools to help users turn these data points into something.

Propelo founder and CEO Nishant Doshi previously co-founded SaaS security services company CirroSecure, which was acquired by Palo Alto Networks in 2015. After that, he spent a few years in Palo Alto, where he experienced firsthand the explosion of DevOps tools as a senior director and vice president of engineering. To better understand the development process, the team had to pull together data from Jira, GitHub, Salesforce, and more. "It's very manual and very resource-intensive," he said.
