Combining the benefits of copper with tungsten is the Copper-tungsten Alloy.
About Metal Alloy W-Cu Alloys Custom Size Tungsten Copper Alloy Rings:
Tungsten-copper alloy is an alloy made from tungsten, copper, and other elements. The common alloys contain between 10 and 50 percent copper. Powder metallurgy is used to prepare the alloy. The alloy has good thermal and electrical conductivity, high temperatures resistance and some plasticity. Copper in an alloy melts and liquefies at very high temperatures like above 3000 degC. The copper absorbs heat, and reduces its surface temperature. This material is sometimes called metal sweating.
Tungsten and copper cannot be mixed, so tungsten-copper alloys have low expansion and wear resistance. They also possess high thermal and electrical conductivity. This alloy is good for a variety of machining. Tungsten/copper alloys can be manufactured and dimensioned in accordance with the user’s requirements. Tungsten and copper alloys typically use powder metallurgy: First powder – batching mixture – pressing, forming and infiltration
Tungsten Copper Alloy Rings Application:
1. The electrical comparison material can be used for high-hardness materials as well as Pu-chip electric discharge machining. It is highly polished, has high precision and low losses. This allows for cost savings.
2. Contact materials: Vacuum contacts for high voltage circuit switches, circuit breakers and circuit boards welding.
3. Material for welding include submerged arc welding, tip of a gas-shielded welding machine, and radio resistance factory. (Production of carbon film resistance, metallic coating resistance) Resistance butt welding material (copper/tungsten alloy weld disc).
4. Guide material: All kinds of wire rolled Steel, which is used to guide or protect material
