Dysprosium Oxide is used in magneto-optical memory material, metal halogen lamp, magnetico-optical memory, magnetooptical memories, yttrium Iron or yttrium Aluminum garnet and in the Atomic Energy Industry.
NdFeB magnets may also use dysprosium dioxide as an additive. This can increase the consciousness of these magnets by adding 23% dysprosium.
