Cetearyl Glucoside is a colorless to yellowish powder with a HLB of approximately 11. It is soluble in water. It is an emulsifier of the O/W type with a high emulsifying power. This is because it can form liquid crystal structures when used as an liquid crystal emulsifier. With a dosage of 1%, an emulsifier is not required to create a stable system. Cetylglucoside has a good skin affinity, is biodegradable and does not contain ethyleneoxide.
