What are the effects of dysprosium dioxide?
It’s used to make dysprosium and then as an ingredient in glass and permanent magnets made of neodymium iron bore. You can use dysprosium oxide as an additive to permanent magnets made of neodymium, iron-boron. The coercivity of a magnet may be enhanced by adding about 2 to 3.3% dysprosium. In the past there was little demand for dysprosium. But with NdFeB, this element has grown in importance. The grade should be between 95 and 99.9%. And the demand is increasing quickly. Also, dysprosium oxide can be used to make dysprosium metallic, an additive for glass and neodymium-iron boron permanent magnetics.

Is europium oxide toxic?

It can precipitate fibrinogen. Toxicity of rare earth elements drops as their atomic weight rises. It is mandatory to use a gas mask while working. You should wear a gas mask if there’s radioactivity. You should prevent the dust scattering.
