Once deleted, the page disappears… mostly. Facebook gives it 14 days to change your mind. Think of it as a breakup cooling-off period. Log in during those two weeks, visit the page, and click “Cancel Deletion.” After 14 days? Gone forever. Like that gym membership you never used.
What if you just want a break, not a permanent split? Go to “Settings,” then “General,” and find “Page Visibility.” Toggle it to “Page Unpublished.” Now it’s hidden from the public. Like putting it in a digital closet. You can bring it back anytime.
Important note: Deleting a Facebook page doesn’t delete your personal profile. Your cat memes and vacation photos are safe. The page is its own entity. Killing it won’t nuke your account.
Backup your data first. Facebook lets you download page info—posts, photos, videos. Go to “Settings,” click “Your Facebook Information,” then “Download Page Info.” Pick a date range or grab everything. Hit “Create File.” Wait for an email with a download link. Save it somewhere safe. Future you might need it.
Still stuck? Maybe your page is linked to Instagram or Meta Business Suite. Unlink them first. Go to Meta Business Suite, find “Accounts,” then remove the page. Otherwise, Facebook might throw errors at you.
